[Globalmba2019] Careers in Italy - Next Steps (for Extra-EU citizens currently in Italy)

Dear Students,

this e-mail is for the extra-EU citizens currently in Italy interested to know what contractual opportunities they will have, in order to work in Italy (and it is complementary to the e-mail you received from Valeria Calabrò).

You may book an appointment with Patronato ACLI, a labor institution here in Bologna (please, see the attachment for the office hours and e-mail address). Send them an e-mail in order to book your appointment (they are able to speak English). During the meeting, you can ask what contractual options you have in order to work in Italy according to your residence permit status and the Italian employment and labor law. This information may be useful for the companies that are currently hosting you as interns or for other companies.

This labor institution provides legal advice for free. Since every situation is different, remember to explain in details yours: the resident permit you have (expiration date, status of the renewal procedure, where you are currently located, etc.). Bring with you all the useful documents you have and do not forget to mention that you are currently enrolled in a Master Program at Bologna Business School / University of Bologna until March 2021 (you will keep your student status until that moment).
Please, note that in order to convert your student permit to "job seeker" or "work", you will have to conclude your academic career with BBS and that means all the exams have to be taken, the Declaration of Value submitted, final discussion made and the fees paid. You will be notified when your final discussion is set, after submitting your internship report / final project to the MBA Team.
