[Globalmba2019] Happy New Year and Essentic Point Positive

Dear MBAs,
First of all, I’d like to wish you and your families Happy New Year! It was great to know many of your significant others in December and I am happy you also met mine! It has been a lovely 2019 with many exciting news in our personal and professional lives and I do hope 2020 will enable all of us to achieve our goals and life aspirations.

Becoming an MBA Director in this stage of my life is something that scared (and still scares) me but I am bringing all my energy and enthusiasm in this project and I feel blessed to have had such attitude and positive collaboration from you and the entire school and MBA Team.

I was impressed by your motivation and determination during these months and also from your positive outlook and collaboration in making our program better! The several activities that we have lunched together, just to mention the more recent one, i.e. the Peer2Peer Learning that will start soon, are giving our MBA higher credibility and visibility and important recognition. I have a call scheduled next week with the MBA Director of Berlin Institute of Management to discuss potential collaborations. I also met some students of prior years and they were happy to hear about these news and are willing to connect with you if you wish. An Alumni event is in calendar soon.

I am writing to inform that on Monday you will be invited by Essentic to initiate the Point Positive Assessment, a personal journey that through the help of your network will enable you to understand a bit better your strengths and unique talents. Please pay attention to the email you will receive from this address: PointPositive.BBSGlobalMBA at essentic.com<mailto:PointPositive.BBSGlobalMBA at essentic.com> and follow precisely the instruction as you have some deadlines to respect to nominate your contributors and complete the assessment. As I announced you in the last meeting, better if you advise your contributors as otherwise they will receive an automatic notification from Essentic without paying attention.

Another important news is the begin of the Recruitment Campaign 2020/2021. Yesterday, the official application procedure was published online<https://www.unibo.it/en/teaching/professional-master/2020-2021-1/global-master-in-business-administration-1> and we will have the first round of selection in March (4-5). If possible, and if you wish to help us, I am respectfully asking your help in promoting this news on the social media. Today, I wrote a post on LinkedIn that maybe you can share or even customise to show your support and it is possible that somebody will connect with you on LinkedIn to ask for advises.

As you have also seen, Jimmy Choo has joined our Executive Committee for the track Design, Fashion and Luxury Goods and we are working to finalise other agreements soon. Finally, I am in contact with Eugenio for next week’s visit to PM and we are finalising the schedule. We will let you know soon but approximately the visit will be from 9 (bus) to 3 pm with an extensive factory tour and the possibility to meet some of their managers. I will also briefly discuss some recent research on leadership and neuroscience that are extremely positive.
