Dear students,
I know you are concerned about this situation and the different adjustments occurring to the schedule/teaching method. I am sending this email to give you additional information, and I plan you to send an email on Monday and Wednesday next week for further information/clarification. Meanwhile, you will be receiving instructions today to access Microsoft Teams and some guidelines. The software is simple to use, and we have successfully tested it yesterday night with executive education.

1- It is established that all next week’s courses will be held online through Teams, and the exam of Gemmology and Watches scheduled will be postponed. Deadlines for assignment remains valid. The presence of next week’s online classes is mandatory.

2- We do not have official information on the week starting March 9th - March 13th as this decision (open to the public or not) needs to be taken by the National/Regional Authorities and the Rector. This decision will be taken (I assume) early next week, and I will give you immediate notification.

In the case, all classes will be re-arranged in the traditional face-to-face format, we are reflecting on some solutions for those students who have already left the country for safety concerns. It could be a continuation of online learning simultaneously with face-to-face lectures, recording of class and/or tolerance towards the absence in that week. I recall that participation in online courses of the period March 2nd to March 6th is required and will be considered into account for the final count.

The decision for the week of March 9th-13th is not under my authority, and the University of Bologna (which I recall you provide the legal title of the MBA) needs to give its authorization in any of the cases above mentioned.

Going home now is something I understand, but this should be your own decision, and I cannot authorize or forbid it. We will be managing each case with respect and tolerance in the spirit of ensuring your safety and continuation of the learning experience.

Please, do not hesitate to write to us in case of additional information. Alessio and Federica are in constant contact with us, but we are also available to answer you for any specific need (give us please some tolerance if it takes longer than usual to answer you).
