Dear Joe,
Thanks – sure the team will be back to you before January 2nd. You do not have to enrol the shared courses as these are mandatory for all. You also need to chose two in total and not two in each term.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Marcello

Dear Marcello,
I appreciate that it's complicated and that you're doing your best but I think we're still very confused as to the process.
First, are we supposed to choose from the shared courses, or are we automatically enrolled in them?
Second, do we choose two electives in each term or one in each, for a total for two?
I know a number of my other colleagues also have questions and it will be hard to make our selection by January 2 without guidance on them. I realize be school is closed for the holiday, but please try have someone get back to us before the deadline.
Thanks,
Joe

Dear Students,
I hope this email finds you well. I am respectfully writing to give some explanation on the Elective Courses as I know, also discussing with Silviu at the school, that you were disappointed about the lack of complete freedom in the choice of your favorite courses.
In the MBA team, we have discussed a long (trust me when I say a lot) about how to give you freedom to select the courses you wish. However, as you will easily see by comparing the calendars of the four different tracks, this was impossible as many of the courses of the tracks overlap.
So, we have made the discretionary decision to pair the tracks in two (DFLG and SSM) and (FW and GREEN) to avoid any overlap in the timetable of these tracks. That, as you can imagine given the presence of numerous practitioners and also the shared courses, was not an easy task and the team has worked day and night to ensure this to happen.
It was not possible to avoid any overlap between the four different tracks as there so many managers teaching. The decision to pair these two tracks was intended and reasoned as we do see interesting synergies between the areas we have matched. Moreover, for pedagogical reason, it will be very ineffective (given the class will be participated by less students than the first term) if you participate to some sessions and then you must skip others due to overlap with the courses of the official track you are enrolled.
I know this is not an optimal solution but it is really the best we could offer. I hope you can understand.
Kind regards,
Marcello
